Every child is intelligent. Just not always in the way a classroom expects.

If your child is bright, curious and full of ideas — but consistently struggles to read, write, spell or focus in school — the problem is rarely effort. It is almost always the way information is being delivered, not the child’s ability to receive it.

At Vyana by Alpine, our Special Education programme in Greater Noida pairs each child with a dedicated, RCI-registered Special Educator who understands exactly how your child learns — and builds a personalised roadmap to help them succeed. We work with children aged 2.5 to 12 years, both within the Alpine First Step school environment and as a standalone service open to all families in Greater Noida and Delhi-NCR.

What Is Special Education?

Special education is not about separating children or labelling them. It is about recognising that every child has a unique learning profile — and that some children need a different approach to reach their full potential.

A Special Educator is a trained professional who specialises in understanding learning differences. They assess how a child processes information, identifies where and why learning breaks down, and then designs targeted, structured teaching strategies tailored to that child’s specific strengths and gaps.

Special education at Vyana is delivered within a warm, inclusive and encouraging environment — one where children feel seen, supported and genuinely capable.

Signs Your Child May Need a Special Educator

Many children with learning differences are highly intelligent — but their struggles in school can be misread as laziness, distraction or behavioural issues. Here are signs that a special education assessment could help:

✅ Reads slowly, skips words or avoids reading aloud

✅ Reverses letters or numbers well beyond the expected age (e.g. b/d, p/q, 6/9)

✅ Struggles to spell even familiar, simple words

✅ Handwriting is very difficult to read despite repeated practice

✅ Has difficulty remembering instructions, especially multi-step ones

✅ Finds it hard to organise thoughts on paper, even when they can explain them verbally

✅ Loses track easily during class and misses important information

✅ Has been assessed or diagnosed with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia or ADHD

✅ Is significantly behind peers in reading or maths without a clear explanation

✅ Gets very anxious about school, tests or homework

✅ Your child’s teacher has suggested additional learning support

A learning difficulty is not a life sentence — it is a signal that your child needs a different kind of teaching. Our special educators are trained to provide exactly that.

How Special Education Works at Vyana

We do not follow a generic curriculum. Every child at Vyana gets a plan built entirely around them.

Step 1 — Learning Assessment
Our special educator conducts a thorough assessment of your child’s academic skills, learning style, processing strengths and areas of difficulty. We look at reading, writing, spelling, numeracy and attention — and we listen carefully to what you as a parent have observed at home.

Step 2 — Individualised Education Plan (IEP)
Based on the assessment, we develop a personalised Individualised Education Plan — a structured, goal-driven roadmap for your child’s learning journey. Goals are specific, measurable and reviewed regularly with parents.

Step 3 — One-on-One Teaching Sessions
Each session is structured around your child’s IEP goals, using multisensory teaching techniques — visual, auditory and kinaesthetic approaches — that are proven to be effective for children with learning differences. Sessions are engaging, encouraging and entirely free of judgment.

Step 4 — Classroom Collaboration
Because Vyana is embedded within Alpine First Step, our special educators can coordinate directly with class teachers. Strategies used in therapy sessions are shared with the classroom teacher so your child gets consistent support throughout their school day.

Step 5 — Progress Reviews & Parent Guidance
We meet with parents regularly to review progress against IEP goals, adjust the plan where needed, and share practical strategies you can use at home to reinforce learning. You are always part of the process — never kept in the dark.

How Special Education Works at Vyana

Children with learning differences often struggle with traditional, one-size-fits-all teaching. Our special educators use a range of evidence-based, multisensory approaches:

Structured Literacy Approach
A systematic, phonics-based method proven to be highly effective for children with dyslexia. We teach reading and spelling in a logical, cumulative sequence — building from sounds to words to sentences.

Orton-Gillingham Influenced Techniques
A research-backed, multisensory approach to literacy that engages sight, sound, touch and movement simultaneously — making learning stick for children who do not respond to standard methods.

Visual & Manipulative Maths
Concrete tools, visual models and real-world maths activities help children with dyscalculia build genuine number sense rather than memorising procedures they do not understand.

Executive Function Coaching
We teach children explicit strategies for planning, prioritising, organising and self-monitoring — the skills that allow them to function independently in school and at home.

Confidence-First Learning
Every session is built on what the child can do. We start from strength, move at the child’s pace, and celebrate every step forward — however small. Children who feel capable learn faster. Full stop.

Why Choose Vyana by Alpine for Special Education in Greater Noida?

Parents across Greater Noida and Delhi-NCR choose Vyana because we offer something most standalone centres cannot.

🏫 School-Integrated Support
Vyana sits within the Alpine First Step campus. Our special educators work within a real school environment — observing your child in class, coordinating with teachers, and ensuring that strategies are applied where they matter most: in the classroom itself.

🎓 RCI-Registered Special Educators
Every educator at Vyana is registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India and holds specialist qualifications in special education. Your child’s learning is in professional, experienced hands.

🤝 True Multidisciplinary Care
Learning difficulties rarely exist in isolation. A child with dyslexia may also have attention challenges. A child with ASD may also have sensory sensitivities. At Vyana, our special educator works hand-in-hand with our speech therapist and occupational therapist — so your child gets coordinated, whole-child support under one roof.

📋 School Reports & Academic Accommodation Letters
We provide comprehensive assessment reports and documentation accepted by CBSE, IB and ICSE schools — for academic accommodations such as extra time, scribe support and modified assessments. These reports are essential for children transitioning to primary school or applying for formal accommodations.

🌍 Open to All Children in Greater Noida
Vyana is not restricted to Alpine First Step students. Any child in Greater Noida or Delhi-NCR who needs special education support can access our services, regardless of which school they attend.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents as Partners
We believe parents are the most important part of a child’s learning team. We keep you fully informed, involve you in goal-setting, and equip you with practical tools to support your child at home every single day.

FAQ – Special Educator

What is the difference between a special educator and a regular tutor?

A tutor delivers the same curriculum content — just repeated more times. A special educator identifies why a child is struggling and then teaches using a completely different approach tailored to how that child’s brain learns. This is why children who have had years of tutoring without success often make rapid progress with a special educator.

Does my child need a formal diagnosis before seeing a special educator?

No. A diagnosis is not required to begin special education support. Our special educator will conduct their own assessment of your child’s learning profile. If a formal diagnostic assessment is also needed, we can facilitate a psychological evaluation through Vyana’s assessment services.

Can a special educator help my child prepare for mainstream school examinations?

Yes. Our special educators work towards the curriculum goals of mainstream schools — including CBSE, ICSE and IB frameworks. We can also provide the documentation schools require for formal examination accommodations such as extra time, a scribe or modified question papers.

My child has been diagnosed with dyslexia. Can Vyana help?

Absolutely. Dyslexia support is one of our areas of core expertise. We use structured, multisensory literacy approaches that are specifically proven to be effective for children with dyslexia. Many of our children with dyslexia make remarkable progress within their first term of regular sessions.

How is special education delivered — in groups or one-on-one?

At Vyana, we begin with individual one-on-one sessions so the child receives fully personalised attention. As the child progresses, structured small group sessions are introduced to build collaborative learning and social skills in a supported environment.

Can special education help a child with ADHD?

Yes. Our special educators are trained to work with children with ADHD — using attention-supportive teaching strategies, executive function coaching, movement breaks and structured session formats that maintain engagement. We also coordinate with our OT, who supports self-regulation and focus from a sensory perspective.

Is Vyana by Alpine open to children from other schools in Greater Noida?

Yes. Vyana is open to all children in Greater Noida and Delhi-NCR. You do not need to be enrolled at Alpine First Step to access our special education services.
